Yoga with Baby Series – Mondays in Issaquah: A postnatal yoga class with your baby that teaches you how to keep moving your body after childbirth. This class focuses on rebuilding your postnatal core and pelvic floor function. We practice yoga, sing, dance a little, breathe deep and enjoy a much needed moment of rest and self care together. Come to connect with other parents, yourself and your baby. It is recommended to wait until you are six weeks postpartum and/or have approval from your medical provider before attending class.

Your baby may cry, fuss or need to feed or have their diaper changed (trust me we have seen it all!) Everything is welcome on your yoga mat. We will honor our rest and when we need to take breaks and/or customize our practice to our unique needs. There is a long savasana (resting pose) with your baby at the end of class. Each class will follow a similar format and have a theme but will change based on the teacher.

A refreshing take on Goal Setting & Resolutions
Almost every New Year’s resolution starts with a pledge to change not just what we do but who we are. We set goals and imagine how happy we will be when we get what we want, accomplish or succeed in our resolutions.

Yoga however teaches us that there is a world of difference between “I will” and “I am”. Most New Year’s resolutions are motivated from the misguided desires of the ego and cultural conditioning. We look outside of ourselves with a belief that we are “not enough” currently. They almost always fail because they start from the assumption that who you are is not good enough, and reinforce the mistaken belief that your happiness depends on acquiring, accolades, accomplishments or collecting achievements.

The yoga tradition offers a refreshing alternative to the New Year’s resolution: the practice of sankalpa, or intention. A sankalpa practice starts from the radical premise that you already are who you need to be to fulfill your life’s dharma.

Join Ella, a maternal wellness coach and yoga teacher for a Sankalpa Intention Setting on-demand course. In this course we will break down what your personal life’s dharma is, fine tune your year’s Sankalpa and how we can navigate this refreshing alternative way of connecting to your maternal wellness goals from a place of already being very much enough!

You will walk away with a greater understanding of:

    • The difference between goals & intentions
    • How to identify your intentions
    • Planting the seed of your intentions
    • How to change your mindset
    • What dharma is
    • What a Sankalpa is and how to identify what yours might be
    • How to achieve your goals as a busy mom

    What you will receive:

    • 1.5 hour interactive live or recorded workshop with Ella
    • Worksheet to guide you along your Sankalpa journey
    • Journal Prompts
    • Guided Meditation to connect to your Sankalpa
    • 25 minutes of yoga asana practice

    The Embodied Birth Class

    $497.00

A complete guide to a more pleasurable and empowered birth experience.

We are told that birth is painful, scary and hard. What if birth could be pleasurable, empowering and full of love? Birth isn’t something that just happens to you, it’s a right of passage that’s shaping your journey into parenthood. Contrary to what some may say, you are not just a passive passenger along for the ride.  To have a birth that feels present and connected, while reducing your risk of birth trauma, you need the tools to stay rooted and connected to your body and baby during birth.   Birth is wildly unpredictable, and knowing your options allows you to navigate the unexpected with grace and confidence. Allowing you to set aside fear and focus on the dream birth you desire. In Embodied Birth you and your birth partner will learn  and practice the skills to stay connected to your inner wisdom during birth.  In this class we focus on how you want your birth to feel and how you can navigate the many directions birth may take with confidence, mindfulness and trust.

In this class you will learn through lecture, movement, meditation and connection with other expecting parents. Ella and Tara will guide you in preparing your mind, body and spirit for your birth experience. We will offer you somatic practices to connect your body to different stages of labor, teach you yoga flows to help prepare your body for labor and create comfort in pregnancy.
